  It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Downtown Sarasota, and we’re calling on all local businesses to help turn Main Street into a festive wonderland of holiday spirit and creativity. We welcome any Downtown business to participate.

  Join the Downtown Sarasota Alliance Holiday Window Decorating Contest, where local storefronts come alive with color, lights, and imagination. Show off your holiday style for a chance to win prizes, recognition, and plenty of community cheer.

  
  

  The Theme

  This year’s theme is “Lights, Tinsel, Action!”
  Think dazzling lights, movie-magic moments, and creative displays that bring joy to everyone passing by.

  
  

  How to Participate

  1. Decorate your business window following this year’s theme or what inspires you.
     
     

  2. Take a clear photo of your display.
     
     

  3. Upload your image to our voting page by December 15. (Link will be sent after registration).
     
     

  Judging

  There are two ways to win:

  • People’s Choice: The public will vote online from December 16 through December 23.
    

  • Judges’ Panel: DSA board members will evaluate displays based on creativity, festive spirit, use of theme, and overall impact.

  Prizes

  • People’s Choice Award: $250 for DSA Members or a free one-year membership.
    

  • Judges’ Choice Award: $750 for DSA Members or a free one-year membership for non-members.
    
    

  Winners will be announced on December 30th, 2025 and featured on the Downtown Sarasota Alliance’s social media and newsletter.

  Spread the Cheer

  Encourage customers to vote for you by displaying a “Vote for Me” QR code in your window and sharing your entry on social media with #DSAHoliday.

  • Format: All files must be submitted as high-resolution (300 dpi) PDF or JPG files.

  • Color: CMYK color mode is required for print advertising.

  • Bleed: Please add a 0.125-inch bleed to all Full Page ads. No bleed necessary for half or quarter-page ads.

  • Naming: Please name your file clearly: [Your Business Name]_CityGuide_Full.pdf

  Join Our Monthly Keep Sarasota Beautiful Clean-up!

  We’re excited to share that the Downtown Sarasota Alliance has officially adopted a Ringling Blvd. here in beautiful downtown Sarasota!

  As part of our commitment to keeping downtown Sarasota a vibrant place for people to live, work, and visit, we’ll be organizing a monthly cleanup day, dedicating one hour at a time to keeping our community clean and beautiful.

  Our cleanup will take place on the Second Saturday of each month, from 8:00–10:00 AM, in honor of Keep Sarasota County Beautiful. We’d love for our members and supporters to join us in this effort, your helping hands make a big difference!

  Come out, roll up your sleeves, and help us make Sarasota shine. Together, we can show pride in our city and keep our community spaces looking their best.
